Pride of Agriculture

Calving season around our place is in full swing and what an adventure the last month to month and a half has been. We've had: uncomplicated births, complicated births, twins, calves who almost didn't make it through the below freezing temps and an orphan.  ROLLER COASTER would probably be the best descriptive phrase but at the same time I know what has gone on at our place is the norm for most everyone else in this season of their operation.

It is because of all this, that I wonder about and then become angry at those people who are working against us. By us, I'm referring to every single person involved in the Agriculture industry in some way. As a percentage of population, I know this is a small amount of people who make their living in this industry.  BUT in relation to the number of people who benefit from Agriculture in some way (in case you missed my last post- this is everyone), this is a huge number.

These people who are working against us have never experienced this Roller Coaster. They have no idea about it and to be honest, they don't care about it. They don't get up before the sun to feed and check on livestock. They don't put off dinner until after dark when all the livestock is fed. They've never worried  about the upcoming weather and whether or not this years crop (which will feed many others) will make because of it. They've never cried because they had no other choice but to put an animal down. They've never spent a day in the freezing cold in wet clothes to save a baby calf from freezing. They've never had a sleepless night due to waiting for a mama to give birth, or checking on a sick animal. They've never experience the joy of watching a mama and her little one become familiar with each other or watching that little one nurse for the first time. They've never watched a calf or foal playing in the pasture. They've never experienced a sunset from a pasture surrounded by livestock.

And I'll tell you the biggest thing they've never experienced. That proud feeling of know that you're feeding people all over the world, saving that baby from freezing to death, getting that orphan baby to eat so it can grow up to be strong and healthy, watching the crops grow and the ground change through the seasons. They have never felt nor experienced the PRIDE of being involved in an Industry that is so tight knit and full of salt of the earth people who work everyday to help Feed an Entire World Population--- and LOVE every minute of it!

You just think you're a Vegetarian

Tomorrow is National Ag Day....So in Honor of all the Farmers and Ranchers around the world..... Let's all have a toast and share some funs facts to pass on to consumers. Every human being relies on some facet of agriculture every day, even if they don't consume meat :) Here are a few facts (along with sources) to keep in mind this week!

*9% of all milk produced in the U.S. is used for ice cream production, 90% of all Americans enjoy eating ice cream at least one a year--> www.ffanewhorizons.org

From the American Farm Bureau Federation--> www.fb.org
*Today's farmers produce 262% more food with 2% fewer inputs compared with 1950
*Farm and Ranch families comprise just 2% of the U.S. Population
*Americans enjoy a food supply that is abundant, affordable overall and among the world's safest, thanks in large part to the efficiency and productivity of America's farm and ranch families

Visit www.agday.org for even more facts and information on National Ag day
*The top five agricultural commodities are cattle/calves, dairy products, broilers, corn and soybeans
*41% of U.S. total land acreage is farmland.... In 1900 the average farm size was 147ac, compared to 441 ac today

Now... here is the part that I want you all to pay close attention to.....This is important... it's a game changer... it's something you may already know... it  may be something you wish you knew last week...

By-products...... from animals...yes, even those vegetarians and vegans you know use something every day made from an animal (this is your fuel.....now you can educate them the next time they start in about that juicy steak you're having at dinner) ...

instrument strings*gelatin for drug capsules*ingredients for surgical sutures*hides/skins for
leather goods*pigskin footballs*drum heads*chewing gum*tennis racquet strings*cake mixes*photo film*shampoo/conditioner*candles*crayons*cosmetics*medicines*antifreeze*detergents*Emery boards......
oh the list goes on and on....
and Don't Forget......
If you see a farmer tomorrow make sure to take the time to tell them Thanks!!!!

There's still a place in America, where families are bound by love and common goals and where you are measured not by what you have but by what kind of person you are----

Is AgVocating for you?!?!?!?!?!

I recently had the privilege of attending the Arkansas Women in Ag conference in North Little Rock and came home with newly acquired knowledge on a variety of topics along with a renewed feeling for the need to AgVocate. Some of you may be wondering what it means to AgVocate..... and as the guest speaker of the conference, Carrie Mess, A.K.A.  Dairy Carrie put it so simply-- it is "Telling your Story" or Advocating for Agriculture.

Carrie truly is an AgVocate for this amazing industry and her whole presentation was to educate all of us on how to educate society and our consumers on OUR practices, OUR processes and OUR stories.... because---If we do not, someone else will.

Ok, so now you are wondering just who that 'someone else' is. This my friends is where things get scary, where we start to see just why those of us in this industry need to learn how to and find our own way to communicate to our consumers. The 'someone else' is typically those people who do not understand our way of life, do not live our way of life and who more than likely think our way of life needs to be dealt with and abolished.

For those of us in the industry we are very aware of who this 'someone else' is... The first two organizations that will pop into our minds are HSUS (Human Society of the United States) and PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)..... For those of you unfamiliar with the actual motivation and purpose of these organizations, please do your research. While they advertise their "Love" for 4-legged furry critters---most will be pleasantly surprised that it is a far cry from the "Love" most farmers and ranchers will show for their 4-legged furry critters and their way of life. The "Love" these two groups (and many others like them) portray is nothing more than their way to get YOUR money..... and NO!!!  YOUR money donated to organizations like HSUS will not go to your LOCAL Humane Society.

Back to the conference: After listening to Carrie, along with other presenters (I will be highlighting some of these presentations and speakers in the days to come) through the two day conference... I left that Friday afternoon asking myself just how I was going to tell our story so that the generations after us could carry on in our footsteps and continue to Build a Legacy in our family name.

So here I am today... writing this blog post trying to find my voice in a small knit Agriculture Industry trying to educate and feed an ever growing world population, sharing via social media outlets, Facebook , Twitter and Instragram-- fun but educational blurps from our life with a small commercial cow/calf herd AND AgVocating as a new member of our Team BEEF Arkansas.

Now tell me---
What is your story? Do you raise crops? Cows? Horses? Sheep? Hogs? Chicken? Timber? Participate in a Farmers Market?  Just enjoy the scenery and serenity of living in the country? Enjoy eating a big juicy steak? What about a homemade breakfast wtih a cold glass of milk, bacon, sauage and eggs?

AND

How are you telling it? Blogging? Sharing via social media? Member of Team BEEF? Member of a local organization (Cattlemen, Women in Ag, Farm Bureau, etc)? Talking to consumers at the grocery store?

Don't forget...........if you are talking to someone, anyone, about YOUR industry and YOUR agricultural lifestyle--you are an AgVocate!!!

2014 YCLC First Session

The YCLC program (Young Cattlmen's Leadership Class) put on by our State Cattlemen's Association kicked off its 4th year this week.  I'm proud to say that I am one of 22 participants this year. I am proud to be a part of this great program and proud to be part of the biggest class they have had to date. The program is full of information on our Beef Industry. The information ranges from the County level to State level to the National level from legislative issues, family farms, commodities, marketing, telling 'your' Ag story to leadership within the industry.

This first session was spent in Little Rock touring the Department of Ag, Plant Board and State Capitol along with networking opportunities and tons of classroom education. We were introduced to the history of our association, the structure of the Association along with the history and structure of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association.

The goal of this program is to get the younger generation of farmers and ranchers involved with the Agricultural Industry. The information within the program as well as the tours that we took are a great reminder that unless you are speaking up and being active in whatever it is you are passionate about, someone else will be and you may not like the decisions they make that ultimately affect you and your operation.

Does your state association have a Young Cattlemen's Association? Are you an alumni in it or interested in being in it? How do you make your voice heard for Agriculture?

Below are pictures from our 1st Session :)

Primo Nato

Primo Nato- Italian for 'first born'.

I can't begin to tell y'all just what this means to us here at McClung Cattle Co. It means the start of our future, our family legacy, our dream, our foundation. It also has meaning that stretches beyond our cattle, beyond us, to those that came before us. Those that are no longer with us but that left their own legacy, those whose legacy influences us everyday and who are helping us in ways we here on earth can't even begin to fathom.

My mother-in-law's family was Italian. Their love of family and family legacy is something that was passed onto my husband. This love as among all Italians is a strong bond and one my husband still feels from his Mama everyday. Her love for her son, my husband, along with his dreams and aspirations is why I have chosen to nickname our first calf this year Primo Nato.

I personally couldn't think of any better way to describe this little calf. It represents and reminds us both of those things in our life we have been so abundantly blessed with: family, dreams, hard-work, love from those in Heaven and most importantly this life together that we are building.

So with no further ado, I formally introduce you to Primo Nato........................

I should probably tell you that Primo's Mama is VERY protective... Yes, she is a good mama.... She won't let us get too close at this point and the bottom picture is an accurate reflection of what happens when I go out into the pasture with them.

Herefords and Baby Moo's

My husband and I raise a small herd of commercial cattle currently. We are slowly studying and learning breed information and bloodlines on the Hereford breed . Hopefully within the next few months we'll be looking at starting a small registered Hereford herd as well-- and maybe throw in a few miniatures too--- they are so stinkin' cute!!!

I posted Saturday that we were on our way to the Magnolia Hereford Association sale, which I think as a big success. We got to see plenty of good cattle and I was able to snap a few pictures for your pleasure ;)

..........Enjoy

Jeff Dunham

We've all heard of him or even seen him... Well we finally had the privilege of seeing one of his Live shows last night-- Disorderly Conduct.  As a birthday present to my wonderful husband I got us ;) tickets with some friends to see his show in Little Rock. It was a great show and he is definitely an entertainer.

We've been to shows before for other entertainers where they don't add in any new material so you end up paying for a show that you've heard numerous times. Don't get me wrong it's tons better live BUT when you know the punch lines it's not near as fun... Mr.Dunham on the other hand provided tons of new material in his show last night. He knows as a fan you don't want to hear the same jokes over and over again-- with that, he did some old material but the show was full of new material AND a new character. He introduced us to Coffee Man... I won't give you any information on this new one but when you see him for the first time be sure to come back and give us your opinion on him.

We also found how he will have an animated cartoon coming out with Achmed in March ;) not sure what to think about this yet but I'm sure we'll be watching it on CMT when it comes out!! And for those of you only children, imaginative, dreaming of being a ventriloquist people...(this would be my husband)... He has now come out with a Mini Jeff ventriloquist doll for sale!! We've been told it comes with all kinds of instructions and advice on becoming an entertainer to carry on in his footsteps..

I want to know who of you ends up buying this thing!! My husband will be jealous as we couldn't really find the justification for the purchase at $125!!!

And.... As I type this we are on the road once again... Can anyone guess what this road trip will entail?!?! One hint... They MOO...

We are headed to the Magnolia Hereford Association Annual Sale ....if my technology will cooperate I will try to upload some pictures from the sale later this weekend. ;) until then.... We'll be basking in the beautiful weekend weather and looking at some mighty fine cattle.

Don't look..... Don't look at how long it's been since my last post. It's Pathetic. Pitiful. Embarrassing. BUT it's LIFE! And life is exactly what has been going on in our neck of the woods. And lots of it.

Our calendar and appointments and other 'things' seem to be never ending and the days getting shorter but still I find myself ready to be back at this blogging deal. Ready to fill your ears with MORE of my rambling and even more of all the randomness that is my (our) life.

So much has changed but also remained the same over the last 2 years....Maybe eventually I'll get around to catching all of you up but for now I'll charge ahead with the current state of Faith, Love and Cattle in my life. All of which are still in full force and growing stronger on a daily basis.

Faith-- This one... WOW... is the only word to describe it... It is the center of everything and seems to have had it's ups and downs but God is good and thus my Faith is there. When I feel myself losing a little Faith in something or someone or some situation one teeny tiny prayer and God reminds me that there is no need to let my Faith waiver because He is there and has everything under control.

Love-- We still got it and it's stronger than ever! I still find myself falling in love everyday with my life and all the bigs and smalls, goods and bads that make it what it is.

Cattle--Those that know me, know this is more than in full force. We've got Momma's on our place that will be giving us baby moo's soon (we're praying that the weather will warm up just a touch soon too) and we just returned from my 1st ever NCBA convention as well as our yearly trip to the Dixie National. To say I (we) have cattle in our lives would be a gigantic understatement but also one of the biggest Blessings in our lives.

Hmmmm...

A New Year...and it has started, I've seen all the resolutions and comments about resolutions and all that comes with a New Year. As I stated last year at this time....(can you believe I've had this darn blog for a year??) I am resolving to not have a resolution...kinda....sorta.....ok, so you decide...
My kinda, sorta, semi-resolution is about my blog and is this: Should I stay or should I go?!?!?!?!?!?

I enjoy rambling and sharing with y'al but I've been horrible at it for oh, about the last 6 months..which isn't good considering, as stated above, I've only been blogging for about a year.... :) I think I'm the same way with staying in contact with people at times...YES,please insert a sad face here.

So here's what I'm thinking....I NEED to know if y'all are still out there reading!! If so, and please don't make me beg like I've done so many times before...hahahaha......let me know you're there. Leave a comment, letting me know that you'll die without my blog and that you're going to start sharing it with every random stranger you come in contact with. AND then that you will beg those strangers and your friends to read and share with their friends!! That's how it works...keep on passing it on!

Ok, so I'm not just writing this blog for y'all to listen to me ramble..I"m writing it just as much so I'm not the only one listening to me ramble....and lookin' like a crazy lady having all these conversation by myself...There---I said it, I'm a crazy rambling lady!!

So let me know below in the comment section.........Should I stay or should I go?!?!?!?!?!?

p.s. Hope y'all had a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy Happy New Year!!

Holidays.....

I have a confession.............. I am READY to shop!!!!! I think I've told you before but I absolutely LOVE Christmas time.........With halloween over and Thanksgiving fastly approaching I have a huge itch to break out the Christmas decorations, tree, lights, start dwindling down the Christmas list, fighting the crowds, all of it.

I am doing my best to refrain from doing this for at least approximately 2 more weeks. Then.............it's on!!! I have so many ideas that I'm afraid I won't get to any of them (being as how my kitchen painting project still isn't done). Pinterest is an amazing place for decorating ideas! If only I could find the balance between playing on pinterest and starting all the holiday decorations crafts I've found.

So, what's your favorite holiday??? Any special or unique decorating ideas for this Christmas or Thanksgiving??

Girlie Wisdom!!!!!

I received this is an email and thought you might all enjoy!!! I'm not sure where it originated from but it's entertaining to say the least :)

Girlie Wisdom!
1. A friend of mine confused her Valium with her birth control pills... she has 14 kids but she doesn't really care.

2. One of life's mysteries is how a 2-pound box of chocolates can make a woman gain 5 lbs.

3. My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely.

4. The best way to forget your troubles is to wear tight shoes.

5. The nice part about living in a small town is that when you don't know what you are doing, someone else does.

6. The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat are really good friends.

7. Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

8. Sometimes I think I understand everything, and then I regain consciousness.

9. I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my panties.

10. Amazing! You hang something in your closet for a while, and it shrinks 2 sizes!

11. Skinny people irritate me! Especially when they say things like...'You know sometimes I forget to eat!' .....Now, I've forgotten my address, my mother's maiden name, and my keys, but I have never forgotten to eat. You have to be a special kind of stupid to forget to eat!

12. The trouble with some women is that they get all excited about nothing -- and then they marry him.

13. I read this article that said the typical symptoms of stress are eating too much, impulse buying, and driving too fast. Are they kidding? That's my idea of a perfect day!

Wine? Yes, please!!!

What an amazing weekend we have had!! We spent the weekend with some good friends, celebrating their anniversary :)

We ended the weekend yesterday touring some vineyards and partaking of their wine tasting! We tasted some awesome wine. The  vineyards even looked good coming out of winter. I did however, decide on Saturday while packing and leaving the house that I didn't need to take my new camera. I thought, there's no need in hauling it around (we hadn't originally planned on stopping at the vineyards). BUT was I ever wrong and will probably NEVER leave the house on any sort of trip without it!!!!!

We did take our smaller point and shoot camera so we got a few comical pictures along the way. I will be venturing back that direction as the vines start to green up and produce. I absolutely can't wait to put my camera to use out there!!! Oh and then I'll be back for sure in August to watch the grape stomping!! Talk about some fun pictures :)

Oh and did I mention the amazingly beautiful Catholic church??? I'm not sure words can even describe how beautiful, and inspiring this church was. You can be sure that when I make my next visit I'll have plenty of pictures to share with you!!!!

I hope you all were able to enjoy the beautiful spring weather this past weekend. I'll leave you with a few AWESOME pictures......

YES!!! It's a PINK FORD Pickup!!! I absolutely LOVE it....this may have been one of the coolest things we saw all weekend :)

Busy busy busy........................................

Ohhhhh...............life has seemed so busy the last couple of days. I was able to squeeze in some time with my camera and thought I'd share with you a couple of my favorite picks from the last 2 weeks :)

Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reviews????.......................................

I think I'll be adding some book and movie reviews on here every great once in a while. I've always been a reader and a fast one at that. Once I start a book ( a good one) I can't put it down. I have to finish it!!

I've never been one to read much in winter, I usually do all my reading in the summertime. I know it seems a little backwards (which is normal for me) BUT.... while I was in high school and college wintertime was textbook time. So when summer would roll around I'd make my many, many trips to the library, always coming back with an armload of books. I would find an author I liked (would usually turn into an addiction) and read every book the library had.

My mom and I have the same taste in books so we're always comparing authors and sharing what books we like. I will read just about anything as long as it's written well and follows a story line. I don't do well with books written like a history book or a biography. My husband laughs at this but I recently tried to read a book that I bought him which reads like a history book/biography and ten pages in and I don't recall one thing I've read.  It was like history all over again.....Can't keep my attention........Feel like I'm in school again.................When's the test?

Whew...glad I got that out of my system. AND I have officially put that book up!

On a trip to visit my Dad a few years ago, he got me hooked on a series of Western books. He let me borrow some he had finished and I think I had 1 done before my (short) plane ride home was even over!!! A few short weeks later he called to tell me of a new one he had read and....... I had to confess that I had already read it and all the other ones I could get my scrawny little hands on at the library. I was officially addicted to them!!!

Okay...you're probably wondering if I have a point....and I do.....my randomness sometimes does have a point (although more often than not it doesn't)...... Point is-----I haven't been reading much (not even last summer) (of course that was because I was planning a wedding and a honeymoon).....and....... I MISS READING!!! Well, I have read a few good books lately and am currently half way through another one.

I'm thinking if I do periodic book (and movie) reviews on here it might give me the motivation to:
1. go to the library (I'm not a big fan of buying books!) (I can't ready one more than once)
2. get a library card
3. check out some books and read!!!!

One more confession- I have actually bought 3 books since Christmas....that might bring the total number of books I've ever bought in my life into the double digits.....libraries are so much better for books...they're free....but I do have a full book case in my house....even if I'll never touch those books again....until it's time to move....then I'll be mad we didn't just use the library more...  :)

p.s. I can't deicded which book/movie to start with!! Help!!!

p.s.s. if you have a good movie or book recommendation pass it to me!!!

I'm a country girl........................

I was blessed this past weekend with the opportunity to attend the Arkansas Women in Agriculture Conference. It was an amazing weekend and I met many, many amazing women from the state that are involved in the very industry I spend my whole life in!!!!

We sat through different sessions to learn stuff ranging from cattle handling, to the First Bloom in Fort Smith, to wind and solar energy, to learning to take time for yourself, to saving money by couponing, to peanut production in Arkansas, and BLOGGING!!! (I'd have to get out my agenda to actually list all the sessions that were available to us)

What an array of information they provided to all of us! Not to mention the awesome Arkansas food and wine tasting we had.

Since this is a blog and well, I was able to attend a blogging session I want to pass on some information to you. I was actually fortunate enough to meet two fellow bloggers from Arkansas who were guest speaking. So today, I want to give you their blog sites. If you have a moment to check them out, do so now!!! They were amazing speakers full of energy, life and wisdom!!!!

The Park Wife and Instead of the Dishes

I would recommend this Conference to any of you woman out there involved in Agriculture in any way!! It was a great way to meet other people who completely, without a doubt understand the way of Life in the Country.

Check out http://www.arkansaswomeninag.com/ to learn more about the organization and ways you can join and become involved!!!!

Love is what I do.................

Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand. - Mother Teresa

Love is an amazingly wonderful gift!! I believe everyone has a much better outlook on life and a happier spirit when Love is present in their life. It comes in so many shapes, sizes, dimensions and colors! You can have love for people and things, jobs and hobbies, animals and causes. The places to put your love and to find love are abundant....................

I love ...........my husband, my family, our dogs, my fat Garfield cat, summer, spring, cookies, the color pink, thunderstorms, wearing sweatpants, cowboy boots, riding horses, reading a good book, going for a run, swimming, pizza, enchiladas, shrimp, cheese.....oh my gosh! the list is never ending.................

Did you notice all the food I mentioned??? It might have been easier to just write... I love food....The end...but that isn't near as much fun..........So, on I ramble.................

I love to wear make-up (good makeup) (I sell makeup, need some???) BUT I also like to not wear makeup around the house. It's scary-I promise!! --but my husband loves me anyway.

I love to go to bed with my hair wet. Of course by morning I look like Medusa with my crazy hair --but my husband loves me anyway.

I love to pester my husband in the morning while he's trying to sleep--but he loves me anyway.

I love to eat candy like a little kid (and my hips and thighs show it!!)-- but my husband loves me anyway.

I love to take pictures of buzzards (please don't ask)-- but my husband loves me anyway.

And I love him all the more for loving my randomness, my quirkiness, and my weirdness. Of course that's what makes me, me......but still...He loves me anyway.....................

Oh the wisdom....................

Well......I finally write a blog about something half way serious and what do I do? Cause my Mom to laugh hysterically at my spelling mistakes....................okay so she did it in a completely respectful manner (unless of course you count the phone call she put in to my sister).....

My mom caught a spelling error in my post from yesterday. She caught it this morning and needless to say couldn't quit laughing long enough to call and politely tell me about it. Yes, she did it out of respect for me, she was afraid she would hurt my feelings... BUT I too found it funny and ironic and we had a very good laugh about it. Of course it wasn't HER 1st laugh of the day about it or her 2nd......I won't tell you how many times she actually chose to re-read my mistake!!! I am glad that it gave her a good chuckle for the day AND that she finally called my attention to it.

Oh the irony in making a spelling mistake when you're discussing homeschooling and pubLic schooling!! For those of you who caught the mistake and didn't say anything...SHAME ON YOU!!! But, I hope you got a good chuckle out of it. For those of you who didn't catch it, you missed the chance for a very good laugh!!!

I think I'll leave this post with a quote that seemingly fits the situation and life in general!!!

"You grow up the day you have your first real laugh......at yourself" - Ethel Barrymore

I'm a weekend kinda gal...................

What an amazing weekend!!! It was only semi-productive but the weather was beautiful!!

A group of us enjoy hanging out whenever we get the chance to.We throw going away parties, coming home parties, Christmas parties, birthday parties and just because parties!!!! We love to hang out, cook, drink a cold adult beverage, shoot skeet, and RELAX!!!

I do have to say however that it has been too long since the 'gang' all got together. So gals, if you're reading this we need to start planning NOW!!!! My husband and I did get to spend the weekend with some friends and had a great time.

The weekend consisted of...........................

guitar playing.....

a campfire.....

AND

an amazing dutch-oven
                                                                                cooked brisket.....

Such a relaxing, peaceful, weekend with great music, great food and great friends................(just wish the whole gang could have been there)...................

I hope all our friends know how much they truly mean to us. I found a little sign when I was out shopping with a friend that says "Friends are the family one finds along the way."

I'm fortunate enough to say that our friends are our family!!!! They are the best! Life is simply better with GREAT friends!!! I LOVE you all <3

Oh Beautiful Weather!!

What a beautiful day here in Central Arkansas :)

Spring time is my favorite season!! Makes me want to go outside, motivates me to do something, anything (other than spring cleaning) and is just a great time of the year! Well, it feels like Springtime is here today!!!! Hope you all enjoy the new look of the blog (yes, Pink is my favorite color), felt like we needed something to feel a little more spring like.

I'm off now to go enjoy the weather, play with my wonderful puppies and I guess try to tackle the job of cleaning out my vehicle (which I tend to try to live out of for long periods of time)......OHHH and it's also a beautifully wonderful day to try to get in some picture taking!

Enjoy your day, weekend and the SUNSHINE!!!!!!

Worry ends where Faith begins..........................

Faith....a little word with such BIG emotion, power and meaning. Over the years this is a word that has come to mean a lot to me. When you step back nad take a lock at the big picture of life, there is FAITH front and center!!! It's there in your work, friendships, family, relationships, marriage, and life in general.

Ever wake up and have one of those days where nothing balances, there's no equilibrium, everything is just out of whack?Well, I have these days every once in a while. Puts me in a blah mood for the day, like those cloudy gray days where you can't find any motivation. Just trying to get through the day or through the mood so life feels balanced again. I have these days every once in awhile. There's never any apparent or obvious reason for the day feeling like that or the blah mood but it's there.

When I take a second to stop and think about it, I think it's God telling me I need a littile boost back in my Faith, and to remember that it's through faith that I now have an abundance of Faith, Love and Cattle in my life. I want to share with all of you a few of my favorite verses. If you're havin' one of those kinda' blah days, remember one of these verses or find some that mean something to you and put a boost back into your faith.

The only thing that counts is Faith expressing itself through Love. Galatians 5:6

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34

...And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted  beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

And now these three remian: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
